From SOLAS
1. Every Ship shall be issued with a Continuous Synopsis Record.
2. The CSR to provide an on board record of the history of the ship.
3. The CSR shall be issued by the Administration to each ship, the following information shall be provide
* The name of the state whose flag the ship is entitled to fly,
* The date on which the ship was registered with that state,
* The ships identification number,
* The name of the ship,
* The port at which the ship is registered,
* The name of the registered owners, bareboat charters and their address,
* The name of all classification society,
* The name of Contracting Government issuing the DOC & name of the body which has carried out the audit on the basis of which the documents was issued,
* The date on which the ship ceased to be registered with that state,
4. Any changes relating to the entries shall be recorded in the CSR so as to provide updates and current information together with the history of the changes.
5. In case of any changes relating to the entries, the Administration shall issue, the changes not later than three months from the date of the change in the CSR.
6. The CSR shall be in English, French or Spanish language.
7. Any entries in the CSR shall not be modified deleted or, in any way, erased or defaced.
8. Whenever a ship is transferred/ sold to the flag of another state, the CSR will be sent to administration to affect changes.
9. When a ship is to be transferred the flag state shall endorse the CSR,
10. Whenever a ship is transferred/sold to the flag of another state, the CSR shall be left on board.
11. The CSR shall be kept on board the ship and shall be available for inspection at all times.
